AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORTOLA, COUNTY OF PLUMAS
ADDING CHAPTER 8.16 – ABATEMENT OF WEEDS and RUBBISH
OF THE PORTOLA MUNICIPAL CODE
Ordinance No. 353 was adopted by the City of Portola City Council, at its meeting held on April 24, 2019 by the following vote: AYES -Mayor Cooley, Mayor Pro Tem Oels, Councilmember Powers, Councilmember Morton NOES – None, ABSTAIN – None ABSENT – Councilmember Peiler.
Ordinance No. 353 was introduced and the second reading waived at the City Council of the City of Portola regular meeting held on April 10, 2019 and approved at its April 24, 2019 regular meeting per applicable statute.
Summary:
This Ordinance establishes procedures pursuant to the authority of Government Code Section 39501 et seq., the city council finds and declares that it is necessary to establish a procedure for the requiring of and providing for the removal of weeds and rubbish from sidewalks, parking areas, streets and alleys, and from private property, and to provide for the cost of removal as a lien upon the subject property and for the enforcement of the lien by sale of the property.
