Public Notice of Initiation of FCC Antenna Structure Registration Environmental Notification Process.

ComSites West proposes to construct one (1) new 130-ft tall steel lattice telecommunications tower at its existing tower facility at Beckwourth Peak, 0 Beckwourth Peak Road, Portola, in Plumas County, CA, and has filed an application with the FCC for registration of the tower.  Per the determination of the FAA, the tower will have no lighting. Interested persons may review the application at the FCC’s website at www.fcc.gov/asr/applications (Ref: FCC Form 854 File Number A1082150) and may raise environmental concerns about the tower by filing a Request for Environmental Review with the FCC. The Zoning Administrator will hold a public hearing on the following matter on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 in the conference room of the Plumas County Permit Center, 555 Main Street, Quincy, California.

Plumas County Planning and Building Services has received an application from the property owner to extend the deadline for recording the final map. The Tentative Map was approved by the Zoning Administrator on April 30, 2008 under the amended Planned Development Agreement and Development Agreement for Mohawk Valley Properties (dba Whitehawk Ranch).

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND OPPORTUNITY TO COMMENT, The State Water Resources Control Board will receive written comments and hold a public hearing to receive oral comments on the Draft Staff Report, including Substitute Environmental Documentation, for Part 3 of the Water Quality Control Plan for Inland Surface Waters, Enclosed Bays, and Estuaries of California-Bacteria Provisions and a Water Quality Standards Variance Policy, and a Proposed Amendment to the Water Quality Control Plan for Ocean Waters of California-Bacteria Provision and a Water Quality Standards Variance Policy (hereafter Bacteria Provisions). The Bacteria Provisions include a beneficial use definition for limited recreational waters, water quality objectives for bacteria, a program of implementation, and a mechanism for adopting a water quality standards variance.
