According to a statement from Lassen County’s Chief Probation Officer Jennifer Branning, the local Crimestoppers flyer helps law enforcement catch criminals.
“In 2022 we released six flyers for a total of 24 people,” Banning said. “Four arrests were made from tips and seven arrests were made from identification by law enforcement. In December 2022 three arrests were made from identification by law enforcement.
“We publish flyers every month or so depending on how busy we get with our regular employment. The way it works is we take tips from our tip line (530) 502-TIPS or from Facebook. We pass the information to our law enforcement partners and if the information leads to an arrest, we will award up to $1,000 depending on the individual case and circumstance.”
