Program follows Veterans Day Parade

The Lassen County Veterans Association is planning a program to honor our local veterans on Saturday, Nov. 11 at the Veterans Memorial Building on Main Street immediately following the parade, which begins at 11 a.m.

James Dandois, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post Commander, will begin the program. Jeff Hemphill, county supervisor, will read the Lassen County Resolution and Kathie Garnier, mayor, will read the city of Susanville Proclamation.

Dick Bendix, retired U.S. Brigadier General will be the honored guest and the Lassen High School Cadet Corps will perform Taps at the conclusion of the ceremony.

Representatives from the Veterans of Foreign Wars, William Davison Post 2381 and its Ladies Auxiliary, the American Legion Thomas Tucker Post 204 and its Ladies Auxiliary and the Soaring Eagle Blue Star Moms will be present in support of the program and a free lunch will be provided, during which the canteen and bar will be open for refreshments.
