Public hearing for lot line adjustment



The Lassen County Board of Supervisors solicits the aid of public agencies and the general public in consideration of the following item:

Applicant/Appellants:            Norman “Bud” Laraway and Becky Thomson (Laraway Family Trust et al.)

File:            Lot Line Adjustment #2020-007

Project:            Appeal of Planning Commission Resolution 2-03-21, adopted February 2, 2021, which denied the appeal of the Technical Advisory Committee’s disapproval of Lot Line Adjustment Application #2020-007. Said application is a proposal for a lot line adjustment between two parcels that together total approximately 200 acres. Parcel A is currently 120 acres in size, whereas Parcel B is currently 80 acres in size. If the appeal were granted and the lot line adjustment application were approved, Parcel A would be approximately 40 acres in size, whereas Parcel B would be approximately 160 acres in size.

Location:            The address for Parcel A is 462-300 Upper Christie Street, Janesville, CA 96114, whereas Parcel B does not have an address. The subject parcels are located approximately two miles south of the intersection of Christie Street and Janesville Main Street.

Zoning:            Parcel A is zoned A-2-B-9 and A-2-B-19 (Agricultural Residential District, 9- and 19-Acre Building Site Combining Districts, respectively), whereas Parcel B is currently zoned T-P-Z (Timber Production Zone District). If the lot line adjustment were approved, Parcel A would be zoned A-2-B-9, whereas Parcel B would be zoned T-P-Z, A-2-B-9, and A-2-B-19 in different portions. Parcel A is designated “Rural Residential,” whereas Parcel B is designated “General Forest Environment” by the Janesville Planning Area, 1993.

All interested persons and agencies are invited to attend the meeting and be heard, or to submit comments to the Board of Supervisors prior to the meeting, c/o Department of Planning and Building Services, 707 Nevada Street, Suite 5, Susanville, California 96130.
