Reader responds to Mollette

Dr. Glenn Mollette has an opinion on religion and women and why the two, church and women, are something to think about.

One woman at a church said it best one time. She said, “Glenn, if the women have the leadership roles at the church, the men will stay home. We want our men and families in church, so we go along with them being in charge.”

“Well, isn’t that special?” said Dana Carvey’s “Church Lady” days at SNL.

In the beginning, my mother imparted some basic truths to me about things I did not understand. I remember how she told me that God’s Word is love, and she had a Bible that showed a depiction of Jesus holding and book that had LOVE printed on it. That is my version of WHY I believe in the power of God and Mom.

When it comes right down to it, though, it was my mother who created everything I know about everything there is in this reality-based place I find myself in. That includes everything about everything, including all of the various Gods that exist, in fact or in imagination only.

Until I read Dr. Mollette’s opinion, I did not have reason to connect women’s intentional lack of power to being a ‘plot’ by them to control the world. Sometimes conspiracies can be truly diabolically fortunate when they work out to achieve a desired goal for something really important, like staying alive for just one more day.

Women’s greatest gift to man is love. So, they tell us that the only thing greater than man is God, and women tell us all you need to know about God. Everything else is just something for us guys to keep busy with so we will find out how to do everything our masters want.

All you need is love, and you will do it.

Just give me some truth, and dress it up with joy.

That is love.
