Recall ballots sent to registered voters; if you’re evacuated, check with assigned post office

The ballots for the upcoming Sept. 14 California Gubernatorial Recall Election are on their way to all active, registered California voters — If you haven’t received one due to being evacuated, here’s what to do:

According to the Lassen County Elections office, those who have been evacuated from fires should first check with their assigned Post Office before reaching out to the County Clerk’s office.

“We ask that you please remain patient during these unprecedented times and if you have not received a ballot or couldn’t get to yours by Sept. 7, contact the County Clerk’s office at (530) 251-8217. Our staff will gladly be able to reissue you a ballot.”
