Robert Howard Beaman passed away June 1, 2022, in Victoria, Texas. He was born March 15, 1945, in Reno, Nevada, to Robert K. and Dorothy (Hardie) Beaman.
He grew up in Reno, graduating from Wooster High School. He was a veteran, serving his country in the Navy on the USS St. Paul during the Vietnam War. He attended and played basketball at Lassen College. Bob transferred to Chico State University where he graduated.
He moved back to Susanville, where he began his career in education. He began teaching at Shafer School and taught at Lassen High School.
He enjoyed his years of teaching and later continued as an educator at High Desert State Prison. He worked hard, liked to farm, hunt and enjoyed good times visiting with family and friends.
Bob is survived by his daughter Jill Hawkins; granddaughters Lindsey and Holly Hawkins; sister Gayle Whitaker; brother Gary Beaman, as well as his nieces, nephews and cousins.
