Roy Lynn Jones (Tad Pole) was born Nov. 10, 1942, in Susanville, California, the eighth child to Wesley and Dolly Jones.
Roy passed away on Nov. 14, 2021, after a long battle with cancer.
Roy is survived by his wife, Arlene Jones, of 52 years; daughter Deidra Baston (Greg), and son Kyle Jones (Jennifer); grandchildren Ashley Baston, Trevor Baston, Lindsey Anderson (Seth), Walker Jones and Willow Jones; and great-grandchildren Jude and Sawyer Anderson. He is also survived by his sister, Rita Montgomery and brother Jack Jones; numerous nieces and nephews, including Rick Edwards and Clay Montgomery, who worked with Roy in the woods. Roy worked most of his life as a loader operator.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Dee Jones, Owen Jones and Raymond Jones; and sisters Norma Williams, Alice Lee Edwards and Maxine Montgomery.
