Rumble strip project upcoming on various routes
The California Department of Transportation and prime contractor Central Striping Service, Inc. will begin work on a rumble strip project on various routes within District 2.

The $1.8 million project will construct centerline rumble strips and pavement delineation at the following locations:
Highway 32 (Butte/Tehama counties) at various locations between Lomo and the junction with Highway 36.
Highway 151 (Shasta County) between the Shasta Dam Visitors Center and the junction with Lake Boulevard.
Highway 263 (Siskiyou County) between the junction with State Route 3 in Yreka and the junction with State Route 96.

Construction activities are currently planned to start Monday, Oct. 5. Motorists will encounter one-way traffic control with up to 8-minute delays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily. Motorists are urged to slow down and drive carefully in and around construction areas, follow speed limit reductions in place, and allot extra time for delays. The project is anticipated for completion by early November.
