“Dianne Feinstein dedicated more than five decades to public life where she forged a path of firsts for women in both state and national politics. Her tough-minded approach to politics and the work of governance not only forced her male colleagues to respect her expertise in the areas of public safety, national security, and the judiciary, but also inspired women who wanted to enter public life at the highest levels. My thoughts are with her family, friends and colleagues. She will be missed.”
