Senator Dahle issues Thanksgiving message
Dear Friends,
I want to take a moment to wish you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving. During this special time of year, it’s imperative to slow down and reflect on our many blessings. I’m grateful for our beautiful North State and the joy of raising a family here. I also want to thank you for your continued support. Representing California’s 1st Senate District is an honor, and I’m both humbled and thankful for this opportunity.
You may be aware of the current redistricting effort in California, which occurs every 10 years following the Census. This process ensures that legislative districts have relatively equal populations in order to provide fair representation for all Californians. The district lines have yet to be finalized, and I will send out more information as the maps are completed. I will continue to represent the current district until 2024 and am committed to serving our rural North State communities.
Small Business Saturday is quickly approaching and is a great opportunity to support our local small businesses during this Christmas season. The day falls on Nov. 27, 2021, immediately following Black Friday. A recent report from the Small Business Credit Survey states that 66 percent of small businesses experienced economic challenges to paying their operating expenses, 49 percent expressed difficulty paying rent, and 66 percent used personal funds in the previous 12 months. Small businesses are essential to our economy and were heavily impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. So this holiday season, please shop small and shop local.

In closing, if you or someone you know may be in need, go to dahle.cssrc.us/sites/default/files/Food Banks 2021_1122 for a list of food pantry and food assistance resources throughout the district.
If my staff can be of assistance, please reach out. We are here for you!
With thanks, Brian.
