Shaffer Elementary School recently announced due to COVID-19 the school will be temporarily closed with the intention to return to in-person instruction Sept. 14.
“I am sorry to inform you that, due to a COVID outbreak amongst staff, Shaffer Elementary will be closed until Tuesday, Sept. 14. Therefore, we will be creating packets to be picked up on Wednesday, Sept. 8, from 10 a.m. to noon,” read the statement.
“We will be rescheduling the back-to-school night and will get that information out to you all as soon as possible. We apologize for having to do this. But, unfortunately, we cannot operate without staff and with the regulations that California has set.”
