Sheriff’s Office seeks information on home invasion
Anyone with information regarding a home invasion robbery Wednesday, Nov. 8 evening at the River Roost Mobile Home Park near Susanville is asked to call the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office at 257-6121.
According to a statement from the LCSO, deputies responded to the park on a report of a robbery with a firearm. Upon arrival at the residence, they discovered a male/female couple that had been victims of the armed, home invasion robbery.
According to the statement, about 10:25 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8 the female occupant of the residence answered a knock at the door of her home. While opening the door, she saw a person dressed in all black clothing and a facemask pointing a handgun at her. The victim tried to shut the door, but the suspect forced the door open, knocking her to the floor.
The suspect demanded money. A second victim entered the room and the suspect pointed the gun at him, again demanding money. The suspect pushed the man towards a bedroom at gunpoint and ordered him to get his wallet.
The suspect is described as a man by the tone of his voice, skinny and tall, carrying a pistol that resembles a Glock brand.
The suspect is also described as having red color on a hat or hood he was wearing. It is possible the suspect will be in possession of a retired California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation badge that was inside one of the victims’ wallets.
Anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect is asked to call the LCSO Communication Center at 257-6121. The detective division is handling this case.
