The Lassen County Sheriff’s Office seeks the public’s help in gathering more information regarding a shooting in Westwood late Saturday night.
According to a statement from the LCSO, deputies were dispatched to a residence on Avenue 3 in Westwood after a report of a shooting about 11:51 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21.
Upon arrival, deputies located an woman suffering from a gunshot wound to her face that entered below her left nostril and exited on the right side of her neck. Deputies were only able to gather limited information from the victim prior to being treated by paramedics. She was transported to Banner Lassen Hospital and later transported to Renown Medical Center for her injuries. The victim is listed in stable condition.
Deputies and detectives have been following up on multiple leads and the investigation is on-going. If any residents in the areas of the 100 block of Delwood and Cedar streets and Avenues 3-5 have any video surveillance from the hours of 11:30 p.m. to midnight on Jan. 21, you are urged to contact the sheriff’s office.
