Show up and be counted on every election day
I support people of different walks in life to be involved in our government for many reasons. I oppose any other approach in a democracy that is intended to represent all of the people, equally under the laws of our land. To truly understand each other, we must walk a mile in their moccasins, as the saying goes.
I love America when it practices what it preaches. I was proud when Barack Obama became president, and I am ashamed because America also elected a man who had every reason to be thankful for being an American but doesn’t care about anything but himself. What that says is that in America, anything is possible.
We are now about to find out if America is still capable of learning to create a “more perfect union” and what that means to We, the People.
I wonder what the “odds makers” in Las Vegas have to say about the next results of the 2026 elections.
In the past, when the politicians wanted to affect elections, the local ‘powers that be’ would push to increase drug busts using police efforts and prices would drop after years of increases, then go back up to keep profits rolling in. Good cop, bad cop, stuff.
I am just keeping it honest, folks. People from minority status understand what needs improving, when it comes to establishing justice and all that other stuff this government is mandated to bring about.
This is a call to jury duty. Don’t run away, don’t back down. Show up and be counted on every election day.
