Last May, Smile Business Products acquired Scott Tanner Business Equipment from Scott and Barbara Tanner.
Barbara said she and Scott were ready to retire and since they enjoyed a long-term relationship for over 20-plus years with Smile, they felt this company would continue servicing the Plumas, Lassen, Sierra and Modoc county areas as they did since starting their business in 1995. Bill Yahner, a 20-year employee with the Tanners, will continue as the local service technician for Smile.
Smile, founded in 1977, now services 39 counties in California and 6 in Western Nevada. Smile is proud to be the largest independent dealer for Sharp Electronics in California. They offer sales and service solutions for copiers, printers and scanners as well as managed network services.
Well earned retirement plans for the Tanners include some traveling and spending more time with the family.
