Curtis P. Robinson, 63, of Ben Lomond, California, suffered fatal injuries in a solo motorcycle crash on Paul Bunyan Road, east of Chestnut Street about 5:12 p.m. Wednesday, April 12.
According to a statement from the Susanville Police Department, officers, Susanville Fire Department personnel and paramedics were dispatched to the accident scene.
An officer arrived in less than a minute, and he, fire personnel and bystanders immediately provided medical aid to Robinson, who was conscious.
The preliminary investigation shows Robinson allowed the motorcycle to leave the roadway, and he was thrown into a ditch. No other vehicles were involved.
Robinson was taken to the Banner Lassen Medical Center Helipad and life-flighted to Renown Medical Center in Reno, and he later died due to his injuries.
