On January 18, 2022, officers from the Susanville Police Department conducted a collaborative traffic enforcement operation with the California Highway Patrol.
Funding for this program was provided by a grant from the Office of Traffic Safety. The Susanville Police Department officers issued 13 citations, and California Highway Patrol officers issued 15 citations.
According to a statement from the SPD, “The Susanville Police Department would like to thank the California Highway Patrol (Susanville Office) for their help. Our community is lucky to have such great men and women that work with the California Highway Patrol who are vested in the safety of our community. We would also like to give a special thanks to Lassen County Dispatch for managing our radio chaos during this operation.”
