SPD seeks information on possible attempted murder yesterday morning

The Susanville Police Department seeks information regarding an early morning shooting incident Wednesday, March 22.

According to a statement from the SPD, officers were dispatched to the area of Pardee Avenue and Hood Street in Susanville about 12:35 a.m. Wednesday morning after receiving a report of multiple gunshots heard.

Officers arrived within minutes and began canvassing the area when Banner Lassen Medical Center contacted the dispatch center to report an unidentified 36-year-old man in the emergency room with a possible gunshot wound.

An officer responded to the emergency room where he contacted the victim and a possible witness. The victim was subsequently transported to an out-of-area hospital for emergency treatment. The witness reportedly did not observe the shooting and provided limited information.

No suspect description or other evidentiary information has been provided for the investigation at this time.
