SPD warns residents about vehicle theft

Residents may think they’re safe from vehicle theft in a small town like Susanville. According to a statement from the Susanville Police Department they’d better think again.

The SPD reports three vehicles were stolen and recovered just today — Tuesday, Aug. 22.

In fact, the SPD reports 21 vehicles have been stolen within the city limits since June 1.

“The Susanville Police Department would like to remind citizens to lock their vehicles, remove all valuable from them when parked over night; and do not leave running vehicles unattended or unsecured,” according to the statement.
