Supervisors meet tomorrow at 9 a.m.

The Lassen County Board of Supervisors meet tomorrow at 9 a.m. with a closed session conference with legal counsel regarding significant exposure to litigation, if needed.

The public portion of the meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. with an announcement of items discussed in closed session, approval of the agenda and public comment.

At 10 a.m. Yvonne Smith of Health and Social Services will be recognized for 31 years of service, Sarah Parker of the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office will be recognized for 10 years of service, Amy Foster and Dustin Russell of the LCSO will be recognized for 15 years of service.

Items on the consent calendar include revisions of the county’s travel policy; approval of the minutes of the Aug. 9 meeting; travel authorization for a Lassen County District Attorney Victim Witness Coordinator to attend a conference; approval of an agreement with Kings View Professional Services for an electronic health record system; a lease agreement with the Lassen County Office of Education; an agreement to increase funding to implement the CalFresh Healthy Living Program; termination of an agreement with Heluna Health; an amendment to the agreement between the county and the state regarding comprehensive suicide prevention; and approval of a Memorandum of Understanding regarding Community Wildfire Protection Planning.

The board will receive and file correspondence and hear a report regarding AB 2571 (advertising firearms to minors); hold a discussion about filling the vacant county auditor seat; and a discussion of opportunities regarding broadband funding.

The board’s next meeting will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23.
