Supes hold special meeting tomorrow — may appoint sheriff/coroner

The Lassen County Board of Supervisors hold a special meeting tomorrow, Wednesday Feb. 7 in the Board Chambers, 707 Nevada St.

The meeting opens at 9 a.m. with a closed session to consider two items — a conference with legal counsel regarding a significant exposure to litigation and consideration of the appointment of the sheriff-coroner.

The public portion of the meeting begins at 11:30 a.m. when the board may reveal its appointment of the sheriff-coroner to a term that expires in 2028.
