The Lassen County Board of Supervisors will honor departing board members Tom Hammond and Jeff Hemphill at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24 at the Supervisors Chambers, 707 Nevada St.
The board holds a special meeting that begins at 8:30 a.m. with a closed session conference with legal counsel regarding significant exposure to litigation and interviews for the Lassen County Auditor position.
The public portion of the meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. with an announcement of action taken in closed session. public comment and unagendized reports by board members.
At 10 a.m., the board will also recognized Aaron Albaugh for his 10 years of service on the board, Mariam Kapphahn-Dieter for 10 years of service at Health and Social Services and Nicole Madden for 15 years of service at Health and Social Services.
At 10:15 a.m. the board will hear a presentation on the Rural County Representatives of California on its 2022-2025 Strategic Plan.
Items on the information/consent calendar include agreements between Lassen County Health and Social Services with a number of agencies; a Pledge of Revenue from the Gravier Pit Mine; minutes of the Dec. 20 and Jan. 10 meetings; and an Off Highway Vehicle grant.
The board’s next regularly scheduled meeting will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14.
