Supes meet at 9 a.m. tomorrow

The Lassen County Board of Supervisors meets in closed session at 9 a.m. tomorrow, Tuesday, Aug. 22, with a performance review of the fair manager.

The public portion of the meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. with announcement of items discussed in closed session agenda approval, public comment and unagendized reports by board members.

At 10 a.m. the board holds a public hearing and waive the first reading of a Public Nuisance Ordinance Amendment.

Matters set for time certain include: 10:05 a.m. — a presentation by Michael Rahe from the Plumas National Forest regarding post-fire restoration.

The Information/Consent Calendar includes a recap of prison trial costs reimbursement program items; consideration of a roof replacement project at the Veterans Memorial Hall; consideration of an asphalt concrete and track oil projects; and correspondence.

Department Reports include a second reading of an ordinance allowing the discharge of firearms within the Eagle Lake Community Services District and the Lake Forest Fire Protection District; a Memorandum of Understanding between the Lassen, Shasta, Modoc and Siskiyou Agricultural Departments to establish a collaborative Pesticide Take Back Disposal Event; a revised District Attorney investigator job description; a report from the Fair Manager; adoption of the indemnification ordinance; a Tyler Munis update; a phone change order; and a revision of the Merit System Services classification.

The board’s next regularly scheduled meeting will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5.
