Supes meet tomorrow

The Lassen County Board of Supervisors meets tomorrow, Tuesday, March 21, at the Supervisors Chamber, 707 Nevada Street.

The meeting begins at 9 a.m. with a closed session to discuss four matters: a conference with legal counsel regarding a significant exposure to litigation (if needed); a conference with legal counsel regarding existing litigation (opioid litigation); Public employment (the Lassen County Auditor); and a liability claim filed by Paul Morales.

The public portion of the meeting begins at 9:30 a.m.

Items on the agenda include: A presentation by the Recognition Committee at 10 a.m.; the information consent calendar (bid awards for three public works projects and a letter supporting HR 1586, The Forest Protection and Wildland Firefighter Safety Act of 2023); and correspondence);

Department reports (Assessors office) Joint powers agreement for state I.T. funding, (Supervisors) Deed restrictions on property owned by the Honey Lake Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 6356; (Building and Planning Services) a proposed ordinance amending the designation of building sites at the Spaulding Eagle Lake Tract; (County Administrative Office) information for the board of supervisors.

The supervisors’ next regularly scheduled meeting will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, March 28.
