Supes recognize Joe Vicondoa on retirement

Although not present at the Tuesday supervisors meeting, Joe Vicondoa was recognized on his retirement following a 10 year career with the road department.

“Throughout Joe’s service to the county he was helpful to other districts, kept his crew organized, paid attention to detail and helped with road closures during the fires last summer. He was always willing to lend a helping hand where needed,” read the proclamation read aloud during the June 15 meeting.

Vincodoa began his career in Lassen County in April 2011 as a senior road equipment operator for district 2, and in May 2011 he was promoted to road maintenance supervisor for district 2, a position he held until his retirement in May of this year.

“Joe has been as asset to the road department, county and the public through his many years of experience, dedication and service. He always completed his duties and did a thorough job in the work he did. His hard work and knowledge will be missed in the department,” continued to the proclamation, which was unanimously approved by the board.
