Supes took ‘no reportable action’ on sheriff appointment

The Lassen County Board of Supervisors met in closed session this morning. Wednesday, Feb. 7,  and interviewed several candidates seeking to be appointed Lassen County Sheriff-Coroner.

Following the closed session, the board returned to open session and County Administrative Officer Richard Egan said the board took no reportable action in closed session.

The said the board would not hold an open session and any items on the agenda would be reagendized for the Tuesday, Feb. 13 meeting.

According to state law, the supervisors must appoint a replacement for former sheriff Dean Growdon who retired last month.

District 1 Supervisor Chris Gallagher was absent.
