Susanville City Council meets tomorrow

The Susanville City Council holds its regularly scheduled meeting at 4:30 p.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, Dec. 7 at the City Council Chamber located at 55 N. Lassen St.

The meeting being with a closed session at 4:30 p.m. Items to be discussed include possible approval of an approved position list; a conference with labor negotiators in regarding the professional technical unit, the miscellaneous unit, the public works unit and the administrative unit; and a conference with legal counsel regarding existing litigation against the California Department of Corrections et al.

Open session begins at 5 p.m. with business from the floor. Items under discussion include the consent calendar; a public hearing considering the adoption of Resolution No. 22-6066 authorizing the application and adoption of the PLHA Plan for the Permanent Local Housing Allocation Program; vendor and payroll warrants; consideration of Resolution No. 22-6072 accepting a $50,000 grant from the Local Area Revitalization Co-op; consideration of Resolution No. 22-6079 approving expenditure of America Rescue Plan Act funds for essential worker premium pay and COVID Hazard Stipend and authorizing the finance manager to increase th4e budget; consideration of Resolution No. 22-6080 amending a policy for accounts receivable collection; a discussion regarding the American Rescue Plan Act — ARPA funds; consideration of Resolution No. 22-6077 approving and adopting the city’s Urban Water Management Plan and Water Shortage Contingency Plan; consideration of Ordinance No. 22-601037 adding Chapter 15.60 to the Susanville Municipal Code relating to electric vehicle charging systems ad stations; department reports; and future council items.

The city council’s next meeting will be held at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21.
