Susanville FFA continues to have great success at its Career Development Event competitions. In the past month, the FFA members have competed at UC, Davis, CSU, Chico and UC, Merced Field Days. At UC, Davis Ag Mechanics placed first high team with Dallen Schwab as fifth, Jesse-Ray Morring as seventh and Cory Bill as 10th high individual.
Also, Vet Science placed first high team with Kassie Sandborg as second, Honesty Drake as fourth and Carlene Simpson as fifth high individual. Floral placed fifth high team in their contest. At Chico State Field Day, Ag Mechanics placed first high team with Jesse-Ray Morring placing fourth, Dallen Schwab fifth and Cory Bill as ninth high individual. Vet Science placed first high team with Kassie Sandborg placing first, Carlene Simpson placing second and Waylon Miller placing third high individual. Floral placed third high team with Christina West placing eighth and Marisa Flux placing ninth high individual. Ag Mechanics went to UC, Merced this past weekend and cinched the third high team spot. Our FFA members are working hard and their progress shows it. Members are honing their skills by attending as many events as possible in preparation for California State FFA judging finals at CSU, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in May.
