Susanville man faces up to 8 years in prison

A Susanville man faces up to 8 years in prison after a Lassen County jury convicted him of firearm and stolen property charges.

According to a post on the Lassen County District Attoney’s Facebook page, William Michael Trujillo, 43, Susanville, was convicted after a jury trial on Tuesday, June 11, of one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm (Penal Code section 29800) and six counts of possession of stolen property (Penal Code section 496(a)). The stolen property items were a variety of firearms. Trujillo was also found to have committed these felony offenses while he was out on bond for one or more other felony offenses.

Sentencing is scheduled for July 9. Trujillo faces up to 8 years in state prison.
