Susanville Symphony announces two concerts
UPDATE: According to a Friday, Sept. 11 statement from the Susanville Symphony Society, “It is with great sadness that we announce the cancellation of our Concert on the Green and any future concerts. The Board received a call from the public health department informing us that we will NOT be allowed to have concerts until the state of California clears all counties for such functions. Therefore, we have no other option but to suspend the entire season as of this time. If and when the state moves all of us to a level that will allow such functions, we can then organize and make plans to provide concerts for all of you. We are truly sorry. We want to thank all of you for your continuous support. We hope to bring you back a concert season soon.”

The COVID-19 virus can’t stop two performances by the Susanville Symphony Orchestra.
According to the symphony’s website, “Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions we will not be able to bring you our normal concert season for 2020-2021. We have been granted permission by our local Lassen County Health Department to bring you a couple of performances outdoors.”
The first performance will be the Concert on the Green at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26 at Lassen Community College.
The second performance — A Walk for the Arts — will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17 at Susanville Ranch Park.
According to the symphony’s website, “We hope to bring you some more concerts at Christmas and in the spring as state restrictions permit … Thank you for your understanding and support during this difficult time. Please call our symphony hotline with any questions you may have at 310-8111.”
