The Susanville City Council meets Wednesday, Jan. 18
The Susanville City Council holds a regularly scheduled meeting at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18 in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 66 N. Lassen St.
Closed session items under discussion include a conference with labor negotiators regarding the Administrative Unit, the Fire Unit, the Miscellaneous Unit, the Professional Technical Unit and the Public Works Unit.
The public portion of the meeting begins at 5 p.m. with business from the floor and the consent calendar.
A public hearing will be held regarding Resolution No. 23-6088, approving the Land Use Assessment Report.
New business includes the police department’s intent to request property from federal sources; Resolution No. 23-6085 to accept a $23,000 grant from the Lassen Municipal Utility District for the Susan River Clean-up Project; consideration of Resolution No. 23-6087 regarding an agreement with Granicus and True Telecom and Surveillance; consideration of Mayor Quincy McCourt’s use of discretionary funds to purchase posters recognizing Sierra Cascade employees; consideration of Resolution No. 23-6084 adopting Sale Tax Oversight Board governance practices; consideration of Resolution No. 23-6084 to amend a contract to provide additional sales tax related services; and consideration of Resolution No. 23-6083 regarding a donation for the California Correctional Center.
Continuing business includes a consideration of a survey regarding a survey for the Historic Uptown Susanville Association; city project priorities; consideration of Resolution No. 23-6082 accepting a $500,000 grant from the California Public Utilities Commission; and consideration of Resolution No. 23=6089 declaring the results of the Nov. 8, 2022 election.
Other items include department reports and future council items.
The council’s next regularly scheduled meeting will be held at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1.
