The Northern California Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch run raises awareness and funds for Special Olympics, according to a statement by the Lassen County Probation Department. The Lassen County Sheriff’s Office, the Susanville Police Department, the Probation Department and other law enforcement agencies are excited to bring this event to Lassen County at 7 a.m. Thursday, June 16.
The opening ceremonies will start at the Historic Lassen County Courthouse. Once the opening ceremony is concluded, the Flame of Hope will be carried by law enforcement personnel to its final destination at 2950 Riverside Drive.
This run is intended for law enforcement personnel and Special Olympics athletes.
