Travel Highway 36? Prepare for some delays

Caltrans announced that motorists should plan for longer delays on Highway 36 between Red Bluff and Susanville this week. Plan accordingly and use QuickMap.dot.ca.gov for up-to-date roadway information. Travel slowly and carefully in and around work zones and personnel working.

Good Fred Project (Highway 36 between County Road A-21 and Highway 44): 24/7 traffic control is currently planned on the project between 7 a.m. Monday morning (June 13) through 7 p.m. the following Monday (June 20). Plan for up to 30-minute delays 24-hours a day during these dates.

Tree/chip operations on Highway 36, west of the junction with Highway 89: Motorists should plan for 20-minute delays at times, Monday-Friday during daytime hours, for continued Dixie Fire recovery efforts.

Ponderosa Chip Seal Project (Highway 36 between Paynes Creek and Mineral): Asphalt rubber chip seal project starts Monday, June 13 on this section of Highway 36. Motorists should plan for up to 15-minute delays, Monday-Friday during daytime hours. This project is currently anticipated to be complete by early July.
