‘Trust me. More importantly, trust yourself.’

The idea that business can bring better government to America has run aground and fallen victim to the hard truth of reality.

Businesses have flooded the political system with uncounted billions and given us the current state of affairs ranging from uncalled for wars to uncontrollable debt just trying to fill the tank to get to work and keep food on the table.

Yes, we voters did this to ourselves because the majority of us fell for the idea that money is God, and anyone who has it must be blessed by God.

Yeah, war is profitable for business. Businesses do not send CEOs off to die, but maybe the government of, by and for the people ought to give that a try. I dare say that might make the wealthy give a little thought to things before they destroy families and nations in pursuit of profits.

Voters did this and are now in danger of losing even the right to vote. Many voters have discovered that voting for a businessman who promised them everything are now seeing the flaw in electing a billionaire. They are resenting each day they fill up or buy food or try to pay off their mortgage, buy a car or just pay their monthly bills.

The next election is now upon us, folks. There are efforts to stop elections or limit who can vote.

I urge everyone to vote and use what we have learned about greed when you vote. Not voting will not solve the problem of making mistakes. Voting will not make you rich. Using your head will bring about a wiser government that will serve us all in ways no amount of money can.

Trust me. More importantly, trust yourself.

America and the world need us to. Think of the other guy, and we will be thinking of each other.

That is what friends are for.
