California Secretary of State Shirley N. Weber, Ph.D. encourages Californians to observe Tuesday’s National Poll Worker Recruitment Day by signing up as an election worker.
“As we prepare for the June Primary and November General Elections, California counties will be in need of more poll workers,” said Weber. “Because the pandemic may prevent our more vulnerable Californians from helping out, we need a new generation of Californians to step up and help keep our elections running smoothly.”
Those interested in serving as poll workers in Lassen County should call the Lassen County Clerk’s Office at 251-8251.
Poll workers will receive training, personal protective equipment and compensation. Find out more at HelpAmericaVote.Gov.
National Poll Worker Recruitment Day was established by the U.S. Election Assistance Commission to address the nation’s critical shortage of poll workers.
