A Friday, Sept. 15 crash claimed the life of an unidentified 58-year-old Janesville man, according to a statement from the California Highway Patrol.
According to the CHP the man was driving a Polaris RZR side-by-side on Lakecrest Road at the intersection of A3, the Standish Buntingville Road, about 9:52 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15. Jacob A. Beauchman, 40, of Reno, Nevada, was driving a 2014 Dodge Ram pickup on Standish Buntingville Road. The vehicles collided at the intersection.
The unidentified man was pronounced dead at the scene, and his passenger on the side-by-side, Stacie D. Sisson, 53, of Janesville, suffered major injuries and was transported to Renown Medical Center in Reno, Nevada. Beauchman was not injured.
According to the statement from the CHP, “alcohol may be a contributing factor in this crash. The incident is still under investigation. No roadways were closed as a result of the crash.”
The Susanville CHP said it no longer releases the names of individuals involved in fatal crashes, and instead refers those interested in that information to the Lassen County Coroner’s Office.
