Uptown gallery hosts art show

David and Kris Mahan are the owners of The David Mahan Gallery, which opened its doors for business in December of 2017. The Mahans would like to invite members of the community and visitors alike to an open house reception at David Mahan Gallery at 11 a.m.

Saturday, April 14.

The event is called, A 2018 Passport into the Arts, and you will be able to view artwork in array of mediums: Metal and ceramic sculptures, fused glass artwork, custom jewelry and of course photography and paintings.

Many local artists will be present and professional artist, Michael Giampaoli will be giving a presentation. Beverages and appetizers will be available for your enjoyment as you take in the variety of art and learn about the artists.

The David Mahan Gallery showcases art from local artists such as Ron Mcbride, Gerry and Sherry Creation, David Holsey, Vanessa Solem, Dennis Crawford, James Q. Eddy, Jr., Randy Pilfilis, Craig Sanders, Mindie Hilton and Norma DeBaker.

DeBaker is a fused glass artist who will be doing a mini-presentation on Thursday, May 12, as a Mother’s Day Special.

There are pieces from artists from other parts of the country, too. Plus, a selection of framed prints whose proceeds will benefit Honey

Lake Hospice.

The David Mahan Gallery is a family-owned business and there are many talented artists in this family whose work will be on display.
David Mahan is a painter, and a selection of his own pieces are for sale. Plus, you can view works from the personal art collection of David’s mother. There are even a display of Bonsai painstakingly cultivated for years by Mahan’s son, David. David’s niece, Jennifer Eye, painted the largest piece currently on display at the gallery. Additionally, Kris Mahan’s brother, Dennis Crawford, began painting in 1994, and he is an accomplished artist with several reasonably priced works for consideration.
