Lassen County Public Health’s Drive-Through COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic at Lassen Community College is open until 5 p.m. today, Wednesday, March 17, or while supplies last. The vaccine is available to Lassen County residents 18 years or older. Paperwork can be downloaded at lassencares.org, or filled out at the clinic.
While lines for the vaccines were long this morning, the wait was minimal around 2:10 p.m.
“We are very happy to say that we still have vaccines available,” said Lassen County employee Jayson Vial said in Lassen County Public Health Facebook Live video. “If you were worried about whether or not you were going to be able to get a vaccine today, I advise to come on down right now while we don’t have any lines.”
According to Health and Social Services Director Barbara Longo, about 700 vaccines were given by 11 a.m.
Cars waited on Highway 139 this morning for the COVID-19 vaccine clinic.
Around 10 a.m., long lines were spotted along Highway 139 waiting to turn into Lassen Community College. A team of law enforcement officials, county employees and volunteers, including Lassen Community College nursing students, assisted in the process.
