Attention all local artists. Break out your paintbrushes, sharpen your artistic senses and bring out your talents, because the city of Susanville is looking for your expertise.
The city wants to give life to the water tank across the street from the airport to highlight the Diamond Mountain Golf Course around the Independence Day celebration and the Lassen County Fair, where a city theme will be chosen.
Submissions are officially open and artists have until June 1 to submit their work. Interested parties can drop off their renderings to the city by mail, in person or by email.
Accepted formats for email submissions are JPG or PDF formats.
Once the community picks the winning design, the city will provide all materials for the artist to paint the tank themselves.
If you would like your work to be an artistic staple of the community — seen by thousands of people a day and remembered for years to come — submit your work anytime on or before June 1 to Heidi Whitlock, the assistant to the city administrator, at [email protected] or drop your design off at the city of Susanville offices at 66 N. Lassen St. between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
