Lassen County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a suspect in a burglary in Westwood.
According to a statement from the LCSO, deputies responded to a report of a burglary at the Iron Horse Saloon in Westwood Oct. 31.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered a point of forced entry to the business. The door to the business had a broken window and had been pried open. The business owner reported a large amount of cash had been stolen from the business.
After a thorough investigation and following up on several leads during the last three months, deputies developed probable cause to believe Javier Navarro, 27, of Westwood, was involved in the burglary. A warrant was issued for Navarro’s arrest.
On Jan. 27, deputiesb located Navarro in Westwood and arrested him for his involvement in the burglary. Navarro was transported to the Lassen County Jail, and bail was set at $30,000.00.
