Winter conditions move some schools to distance learning, no school

Lassen County woke up to some fresh snow Wednesday morning, Jan. 27, with the road conditions and forecasts moving some districts to a day of distance learning.

Susanville School District

McKinley, Meadow View and Diamond View all switched to distance learning today.

Johnstonville Elementary

Johnstonville School is switching to distance learning today. Teachers will be in contact with students regarding today’s instruction.

Janesville School

“Due to heavy snow, school will be closed today, Wednesday, Jan. 27, for staff and any learning activities. No meal deliveries today,” read the Janesville School PTO post.

Shaffer Elementary

Moves to distance learning today.

Lassen High School

LHS moves to distance learning with the current bell schedule. Those without internet should call the school.

Lassen Community College

LCC is closed today. Students should contact their instructor for class specific guidelines.
