The winners of the 2020 Women’s History Month Essay Contest are recognized for their winning entries at the Lassen County Board of Education March meeting. Jesslyn Cuevas, from Long Valley School, won first-place honors for her essay on Amelia Earhart and Sally Ride. Charlotte Potter, also from Long Valley School, was awarded second place for her essay on Marie Curie. Both girls received gift certificates to Margie’s Book Nook.
