Staff at CalFire’s L.A. Moran Reforestation Center are excited to install their new flat filler machine.
This machine is capable of filling about 500 seedling styro-blocks per hour and is a massive boost to the seedling production rate of the nursery. As production increases over the next couple of years, CAL FIRE expects to produce approximately 1 million seedlings annually, helping California recover from devastating wildfires, drought, and tree mortality.
