Work on Highway 70 continues as Caltrans and contractor, Hat Creek Construction & Materials, Inc., remove material from the slide at PM 15.2, which is currently blocking the roadway. Crews are focusing on removing hazardous debris from the top of the slope prior to removing material from the roadway for the safety of the crews.
Highway 70 remains closed between Jarbo Gap and the Greenville Wye. There is no estimated time for when the roadway will be reopened to one-way traffic control.
