Land Conservation Committee convenes special meeting at 3 p.m. today

The Lassen County Land Conservation Committee convenes a special meeting at 3 p.m. today, Wednesday, July 31, at the Upstairs Conference Room, 707 Nevada St.

The only item on the agenda involves an application to rezone from the Grimes Rice Canyon Ranches, LLC.

According to the agenda, “The Land Conservation Commitee will consider an application by Grimes Rice Canyon Ranches LC requesting ot rezone and enter lands within Lassen County into a new Land Conservation (Williamson Act) contract. If approved, the contract would add four parcels to the existing Agricultural Preserve, and approximately 341.18 acres of land. Assessor’s Parcel Number 101-120-030 is zoned U-C (Upland Conservation District). Assessor’s Parcel Numbers 117-510-055, 117-510-058, and 117-510-059 are zoned E-A (Exclusive Agriculture District) and are designated Intensive Agriculture by the Lassen County General Plan, 20.
