According to Ruralite magazine, the Lassen Municipal Utility District hosts its annual Customer Appreciation Celebration between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29 at LMUD’s parking lot on the corner of North Gay and Main streets in Susanville.
The celebration began way back in 2008 when staff cooked delicious hot dogs with all the fixings, chips, cookies and beverages — a tradition that continues to this day.
The event features a giant tent for shady seating and some cool giveaways, including $300 in LMUD energy gift cards, solar-powered hand crank-radios (one per household) for the first 50 customers and a swag bag full of goodies.
