An unidentified 83-year-old Mill Creek man lost his life in a single vehicle crash on Highway 36 east of Wilson Lake Road Saturday, Aug. 10.
According to a statement from the California Highway Patrol, the man was driving a green Ford F-350 with a utility body and water tank eastbound on Highway 36. While traveling on a straight portion of the highway, for unknown reasons, the vehicle drifted off the right edge of the roadway, descended an embankment and struck a tree.
The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The CHP referred requests for more information to the Tehama County Coroner.
