Hundreds of Lassen Municipal Utility District customers and residents flocked to the Lassen Municipal Utility District’s Customer Appreciation Day celebration Thursday, Aug; 29, at at the parking lot of the publicly owned utility district’s future home on the corner of North Gay and Main streets in Susanville.

In addition to the famous hot dogs, the event featured a giant tent for shaded seating and cool giveaways — including $300 in LMUD energy gift cards. The first 50 guests received a solar-powered, hand-crank radio (limit one per household) and those who attended could enter a drawing for one of three $100 energy gift cards and pick up a swag bag filled with lots of goodies.
Lassen Municipal Utility District Operations Manager Cort Cortez served as the grill master at the Customer Appreciation Day celebration. He said he expects to grill about 500 hot dogs during the event.
